About Daphne
Daphne MacLeod embarks on her literary adventures with a rich tapestry of experiences woven from her upbringing in the picturesque landscape of the far north and now finds herself nestled in the tranquil beauty of California’s central valley. Originally trained as an instrumental and vocal teacher, Daphne transitioned her passions for education to become a teacher, specializing in students with learning disabilities where she channels her passion for teaching into powering young minds to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
At home, she shares her life with her husband and two gentle but challenging giant Newfoundland/Standard Poodle mixes who add a touch of joy but mostly chaos to their household. With their two adult children carving their own paths in New York City and Northern California, her home is a sanctuary of love, laughter and shared dreams.
In her moments of respite, Daphne tends to her indoor plant sanctuary, and spends hours on her latest craft project. From beading to sewing to paper crafts to book binding to DIY construction projects, nothing is safe from repurposing.
Amidst her myriad of interests, Daphne harbors a guilty pleasure-a profound addiction to Turkish dramas. Enthralled by captivating narratives and rich cultural landscapes, she finds herself transported to distant lands and swept away by tales of love, intrigue and redemption. It’s a passion that fuels her imagination and kindles a desire to explore the vibrant streets and ancient landmarks of Turkiye—a dream she holds close to her heart waiting to be fulfilled.
Through her writing, Daphne invites readers on a journey of exploration and self-discovery, weaving tales that reflect the depth of human emotion and the beauty of life’s complexities. With each story she tells, she leaves an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of her readers, inspiring them to embrace their own passions and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion, never forgetting to find the humor and an 80’s song lyric in everything.
